Initial report from our first Walk & Roll 794

A report of our preliminary findings from the first Walk & Roll 794 event are now available to view. The event took place on November 18th at 12pm and covered a western segment of I-794, adjacent to the Marquette Interchange.

What's next?

• WisDOT’s Lake Interchange study page remains open for public comment. Submit comments to their public comment form through December 5th.

• Engage your city and county elected officials and let them know your vision for a removed or reconfigured I-794.

• We invite all to walk & roll through the I-794 corridor at street level, whether at one of our events (coming early Spring 2026) or in your own time.

  • Observe who interacts with the corridor.

  • Take note of how it feels to walk or roll along Clybourn from 6th St. to the Lakefront.

  • Examine what exists and envision what’s possible.

  • Tell your friends and family about your vision.
